Project Point Odisha, a leading youth development and cultural promotion organization, in collaboration with Ekta Parishad Trust Banpur, successfully organized the International Tribal Cultural Youth Festival at Banpur, Khordha. This unique event brought together tribal youth, artists, cultural practitioners, and grassroots leaders from across India and neighboring countries to celebrate and preserve the rich tribal heritage, traditional knowledge systems, and indigenous art forms.
The festival aimed to promote tribal identity, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment, focusing on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. It served as a vibrant platform for showcasing tribal music, dance, crafts, cuisines, and storytelling traditions. Special sessions on forest rights, tribal entrepreneurship, climate resilience, and youth leadership were also conducted to engage the younger generation in nation-building and sustainable development efforts.
More than 500 participants, including tribal youth from Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Northeast India, and international delegates from South Asia, took part in the 3-day celebration. The event was deeply rooted in local traditions and global solidarity, creating a space for dialogue, performance, and collaboration among tribal communities.
This initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat and contributes to the promotion of inclusive development, cultural dignity, and grassroots participation in policy and cultural discourse.
