Project Point Odisha, a leading youth-led organization dedicated to youth development, adventure promotion, and nation-building, has successfully organized the International Youth Adventure Programme (IYAP) in collaboration with various voluntary organizations across Odisha from FY 2022 to 2025.
The IYAP serves as a platform to engage youth in adventure-based learning, physical fitness, environmental awareness, leadership training, and cultural exploration. Each year, this flagship programme brings together youth from across India and abroad to promote the values of teamwork, sustainability, and national integration.
Key Locations of the Adventure Programme:
Puri-Konark Marine Drive Trekking
A coastal trail known for its scenic beauty and spiritual heritage.
Focus on beach cleanliness drives, nature walk, and youth discussions on climate action.
Barunei Hill, Khordha
Known for its historical significance and lush greenery.
Activities included rock climbing, local history workshops, and rural youth interaction.
Deomali Hills, Koraput (Odisha's highest peak)
A challenging yet inspiring trekking route.
Included eco-camping, tribal cultural exchange, and leadership training in high-altitude terrain.
Year-wise Participation and Impact:
FY 2022: Kickstarted with Konark–Puri Coastal Trek and Barunei Hill adventure, engaging 120+ youth participants.
FY 2023: Introduced Deomali Trek, with an expanded group of 150+ youth from Odisha and neighboring states.
FY 2024: The programme saw international participation, particularly from Nepal and Sri Lanka, under SAARC youth cooperation, involving 180+ youth.
FY 2025: Focused on "Youth for Sustainable Tourism and Climate Action", integrating workshops, trekking, and adventure tasks with more than 200 youth leaders and volunteers.
