The Youth Summit is a key segment of the International Youth Conclave for Tourism Development (IYCTD), hosted by Project Point Odisha in collaboration with IIM Sambalpur. Scheduled from December 14–18, 2024, the summit brings together youth leaders, innovators, scholars, and changemakers from across India and abroad to engage in dialogues, ideation, and policy discussion on the future of tourism, sustainability, and youth-led development.
Held on the prestigious campus of IIM Sambalpur, the Youth Summit will focus on:
Innovative strategies for promoting responsible and inclusive tourism
Showcasing regional tourism models from Western Odisha
Youth participation in cultural entrepreneurship and heritage promotion
Panel discussions, workshops, and startup exhibitions on eco-tourism, tribal tourism, and adventure tourism
Leadership talks by eminent academicians, tourism experts, and policymakers
The Summit envisions empowering over 300 youth delegates from 23 states, 2 UTs, and 2 foreign countries, to become ambassadors of sustainable tourism and cultural harmony. It acts as a platform to align the tourism agenda with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, emphasizing local development, global outreach, and youth-led change.
Through this summit, Project Point Odisha and IIM Sambalpur aim to bridge academia, industry, and grassroots youth action for long-term tourism development in the region.
