Project Point Odisha, a leading youth and civil society organization dedicated to climate action and youth development, organized a Workshop on Heat Wave Awareness and Preparedness at Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar. The initiative aimed to sensitize students, faculty members, and youth leaders about the growing challenges of extreme heat conditions due to climate change.
The workshop included expert talks on the science behind heat waves, health impacts, adaptive measures, and community-level resilience strategies. Experts from the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA), Health Department, and environmental organizations shared critical insights on policy frameworks and grassroots responses.
