Overview:
On the occasion of International Volunteer Day (IVD) on 5th December, Project Point Odisha proudly joined hands with CYSD (Centre for Youth and Social Development) and other prominent voluntary organizations across Odisha to celebrate the spirit of volunteerism and youth-led development. The event aimed at promoting the value of selfless service and recognizing the incredible contributions of youth volunteers in building a sustainable future.
Theme (as per United Nations):
"If Everyone Did" – emphasizing collective responsibility and the power of individual action in global progress.
Highlights of the Celebration:
Youth Volunteer Meet-up: Interactive discussions on the role of volunteers in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Community Outreach: Clean-up drives, awareness campaigns on climate action, gender equality, and health.
Panel Discussion: Led by youth leaders and social workers on “Volunteering for Resilient Communities”.
Recognition of Local Volunteers: Honoring outstanding youth volunteers for their impact at the grassroots level.
Cultural Exchange & Poster Exhibitions: Showcasing the power of youth and volunteerism across regions of Odisha.
Project Point’s Contribution:
Mobilized over 100+ youth volunteers from across the state.
Curated a Youth Dialogue Circle on “Volunteering for Viksit Bharat @2047”.
Facilitated cross-organization partnerships for long-term volunteer-based development projects.

Select photographs and youth stories from this collaboration were highlighted in the United Nations' Volunteering Platform and Youth2030 narratives, showcasing Odisha’s growing youth-led civil society movement.

The celebration of International Volunteer Day 2025 reinforced the commitment of Project Point Odisha and its partners toward youth empowerment, community development, and global solidarity.
